I have been a legal resident for 5 years.
After I applied for my citizenship it took about 6 months since then
JM: How do you feel after becoming a US Citizen?
I’m happy because I’m a citizen.
I’ll have more benefits and (I’ll be able) to help my family; and now I have rights, I would like to vote.
JM: What would you say to those who qualify to become US Citizens?
Try to do it.
I did it for my parents, he told me to fight for it, because it was going a benefit for me, and to help my family.
JM: Why did you contract the services of Jeanne Morales>
She was my lawyer before, that’s why I turned to her now.

Estoy contenta porque soy ciudadanía.

Yo lo hice por mis papás, él me decía que hiciera la lucha, que era un beneficio para mi, y para ayudar a mi familia.

Ya de antes había ido con ella, y recurrí ahora a ella.
Lo que me gusto es que como yo no se mucho ingles, y tienen personas que hablan el idioma de uno
